Creativly Clever repurposing!!!

So I have been doing one room at a time and repurposing things on a very low budget....I found some broken picture frames and made them into wall shelves. $1 for spray paint and time to make them.  I think they came out great.  The black dresser was a street find free and it was totally messed up, bottom missing and needed stripped and redone.  So I sanded and repainted it black added some base moulding to make it chunky and crystal knobs and totally love how it turned out.  Pawn peice's are the top of a bed post I found free and the rest of the post I am making into candle holders and 4 inch dice...those are to come. My cornices are base moulding with scrapbook paper cut out on cricket and glued on then sand papered the edges and clear painted over them...Still sewing more curtains.  Mantle was found in a dumpster a few years ago, solid oak I repainted white.  Mirror was exsisting mirror I had that was brown and gold, just repainted high gloss.  Corner cabinet found by the street a few years ago solid oak I repainted it also white and took the door off, is a great game cabinet.  Black candlesticks are just repainted. Paper Christmas trees are from scrapbook paper.  Found the iron peice in trash and painted it black.   Sewed the chair covers and made them out of black and white zebra print.  Silver light was free by the side of the street, just cleaned it up and voila' perfect.Whole room used to be eggplant purple and I found paint for the whole house for $60 love the grey color.    I will add more pictures as I finish projects.  But so far am loving how it is turning out.

Love my 1st Christmas tree So girly...

Well this was the first year in a long time by myself for Christmas and the first tree in house in 13 years.  Found the tree on Craigslist for $10  and changed all the multi colored lights out for clear ones, left the pink ones on.  Then set about raiding craft room to make ornaments.  Tree is very girly with Black, white, hot pink ornaments.  Total cost of tree was $25 dollars and lots and lots of hours work.  But I love it.
